Face coverings in school
In light of the Omicron variant we now need all of our students to be wearing face coverings in school. Currently all our staff and most of our pupils wear masks but over time some pupils have stopped wearing them.
We understand that several of our pupils have autism and will find this difficult but we strongly believe that they should be wearing masks if they possibly can. We believe if they are well enough, they can and they should as part of their personal responsibility to others.
We will expect all our pupils to be wearing a face covering in school unless you have let us know specifically why they cannot. Our face covering policy has kept everyone safe and school open all during 2021. If we have an outbreak, school may need to be closed and pupils educated remotely. We want to avoid this.
